Artist Statement

I paint every day because it's essential to my being. Turning my daily life into art, translating my thoughts and surroundings onto canvas with a hint of sarcasm. My paintings create a pause, a chance to reflect on our world, its rhythms, and the spaces in between.

The creation of this body of work was motivated by the contradictory coexistence of connection and detachment in our world. This series seeks to investigate the intricacies of human nature, our interactions with the environment, and the ambiguous spaces that surround our experiences. While the figures in the paintings interact, a sense of isolation pervades. Although together, the subjects remain detached in their individual worlds.

Each piece presents a call to re-examine our responsibilities to the environment and to each other. The viewer has the opportunity to form their own understanding that is influenced by their personal experiences and insights by leaving the narrative open to interpretation.
